Under the Fair Labor Standards Act we are guaranteed the minimum wage and overtime at time-and-a-half after forty hours of work. The Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour division is responsible for enforcing the laws pertaining wage theft. Under the First Student National Master Agreement, Teamster school bus drivers are protected by wage theft thanks to paycheck protection provisions.
