(WESTMONT, Ill.) – School bus monitors working at First Student in Westmont, Ill. voted unanimously to ratify their first contract with Teamsters Local 777. The monitors voted overwhelmingly to join the Teamsters in April of this year.
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo.) – Following a five-month campaign, drivers and mechanics at Apple Bus in St. Joseph, Missouri voted overwhelmingly to join Teamsters Local 955 on Tuesday, Sept. 11.
(ORANGE, Calif.) – Durham School Services Drivers and Monitors represented by Teamsters Local 952 have voted overwhelmingly to ratify their latest contract with the company. The more than 300 members provide student transportation services for school districts in Irvine, Santa Ana, Garden Grove and Laguna.
(ANN ARBOR, Mich.) – More than 200 Durham School Services drivers and monitors have voted overwhelmingly to become members of Teamsters Local 243 in Plymouth Township, Michigan. The workers are responsible for transporting Ann Arbor Public Schools students.
(ALBANY, N.Y.) – Drivers and Monitors in Albany, N.Y. have voted by a two-to-one margin to become members of Teamsters Local 294. The 172 drivers and monitors transport students for the Albany City School District.
(CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.) – School bus drivers and monitors who work at Durham School Services here voted last night to join Teamsters Local 327. The 269 workers will join thousands of other Durham employees nationwide already represented by the Teamsters.
It has been nearly a year since General President James P. Hoffa announced the creation of the newest trade division in the International Brotherhood of Teamsters - the Passenger Transportation Division.
