The International Brotherhood of Teamsters is proud to participate in the 2016 National School Bus Safety Week. With more than 46,000 Teamster bus members across the United States and Canada, our union is committed to the highest standard of safety for our members and the students and community members they transport.
For millions of children, their school day begins and ends on a school bus. Members such as you often play the role of teacher, caretaker and friend on top of your official duties. We appreciate you and all that you do to keep students across North America safe and healthy. Teamster bus workers are the best advocates for our students and it is our job to speak loudly on their behalf when it comes to safety.
That is why we are saluting you this October 17-21, 2016 during National School Bus Safety Week and asking all workers at Teamster bus yards to participate in our national safety survey. By sharing your concerns and issues with us, we will be in a better position to demand the best out of our employers and the school districts they service. So please post the attached documents on your yard's bulletin board, complete your safety survey and return it to your union representative.
Continue to keep up the good work that you do to ensure that every child is provided with a safe and healthy ride to school. We carry the future and from the looks of it, the future is in good hands.
Please find the attached documents for posting and the survey below this text. Please contact Katie Finn at (202) 624-7486 or email@example.com with any questions.
